50th Anniversary of the Bullitt

This special edition high performance Mustang Bullitt comes right on the 50^th anniversary of that chilling car chase movie with Steve McQueen that made this green machine so famous. This new Bullitt still has an energetic V8 under its long sloping hood.

The 1968 version pony car packed a high performance 325-hp 6.4-liter eight, which was a monster in its day.  The 50^th anniversary Mustang has a smaller V8 with the 5.0-liter setup, but comes with 140 more lively horses.  This new pony car is patterned after McQueen's Highland Green Mustang GT 390 fastback and delivers 475 thoroughbreds and an awesome 420 lb-ft of asphalt grabbing torque.  This additional power comes from the GT 350's larger freer-flowing intake manifold, a bigger throttle, open air-box and other tweets.  This “flash-back” Mustang will also come with the new smooth shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. The manual has a white cue-ball shift knob just like the real Bullitt Mustang. This setup is tuned for a distinct exhaust note coming through two chrome tips.  The rear suspension design has been reworked to create more stability with active damping to dynamically adjust shock absorber performance. All the elements of the Mustang's Performance Package is there for your driving enjoyment. Everything you need to chase those bad guys down.

This reincarnation comes in Highland Green with chrome accents and maybe available in black for those who prefer not to drive a green car.  The cabin has a huge 12-inch digital LCD instrument cluster that welcomes the driver in a green font and available Recaro black leather seats that come with green stitching. These sturdy seats will hold you like your favorite leather gloves as you dive into those curves.

This 50^th Anniversary Bullitt is designed to be a “Collectors Car” and if interested you better hurry to grab one as Ford is only making a limited number.  But not to worry if you can't land a Bullitt Mustang as there are many more great looking Mustangs to choose from in your favorite color and styling.  No better time than now to check out the new 2018 Mustang lineup.
