2018 Ford Mustang

This 2018 Ford Mustang with the redesigned face-lift seems to be staring down its competition with its new set of squinty headlights and grinning grill.  Just like a real Mustang pawing the dirt and raising on its back feet ready to claim its territory. 

No wonder Ford used that famous emblem of a horse that looks quick, fast and great looking.  The new Mustang lives up to that image big time with its muscular grill, clean lines and aggressive stance. It refuses to go unnoticed. Not only did the savvy engineers from Ford place a new front fascia on the Mustang, but accomplished a lot more to make your drive-times a pleasant and fun time. Under its handsome hood lives a new standard 2.3-liter turbocharged in-line four with the EcoBoost setup.  This base engine punches out 310 lively horses and   an awesome 350 lb-ft of asphalt grabbing torque.  You can also attribute that kind of performance on the available new 10-speed automatic.  Ford believes the EcoBoost system is the best match for those 10 gears and you will probably agree on that enjoyable test drive. 

On those country roads drivers love to set the drive mode to Sport just for the fun of it. A new suspension system allows you to dive into those curves with confidence. You will also appreciate the quick up-shift and smooth down-shifts while playing with those paddle sifters.  Around town, this 10-speed is just a home invisibly changing gears while keeping the rpm low. 

Now if you desire more zip in your trips, then also test drive the GT Mustang with its 5.0-liter big V8 that punches out 460 thoroughbreds.  This V8 will deliver you to 60 mph in just about 4 seconds and sound great doing it.  Nothing like a rumbling and snorting V8 to attract attention.  All Mustangs this year have the GT 350's inspired quad exhaust tips with four separate exhaust modes.

In its Sport and Track slots, this Mustang releases a rich and loud booming tailpipe note.  This year Ford gives you the choice of keeping your neighbors happy with its Good Neighbor mode that subdues the engine noise, especially when you leave in the early morning.  Other improvements are found in the Mustangs updated and upscale cabin with its modern amenities. For example, a new 12-inch LCD instrument cluster panel is available and dedicated to the Mustang's performance data.

This new Mustang just checks all the boxes for a fun driving experience and still has a convertible for those cruising times.  Just take that short drive and find a Mustang that fits your budget and style.  Now couldn't be a better time.  Isn't it about time you put the “fun factor” back into your drive-times?
